Many of us were disappointed to hear about Chad Ummel’s resignation at Recreation Director, and as far as I can tell just as many have been surprised by accompanying information that is coming to light about how recreation is funded by the town of Waterbury. Emotions seem to range from resignation to sadness to outrage, and a few concerned citizens have decided it would be best to start by understanding the current facts and trying to gauge the collective will of the community.

The first step is an ad-hoc meeting on SATURDAY, FEB 20, 4:00 PM at the REC CENTER (near the pool). The first part of the meeting will focus on gathering and sharing information to get as complete a picture as possible. The second part will focus on next steps, if any. Can you join us?
