Rural Community Transportation (RCT) will host an online public hearing on March 12th at 11 AM to discuss proposed changes to the Morrisville Shopper, Crown Connection and seasonal Saturday Jay Lyn shuttle services.
The proposed changes to the Morrisville Shopper will remove the now-closed Stowe Family Practice stop, add stops at Copley Hospital and Lamoille Community Health Partners, and adjust the schedule slightly.
The Crown Connection service is proposed to be discontinued.
These changes are expected to take effect on March 17th, 2025.
The seasonal Saturday Jay Lyn shuttle is proposed to end on April 5th, 2025. We are grateful to Northeast Kingdom Community Action for partnering with us to make this temporary service possible through grant funding. This extended service provided valuable weekend access to services and opportunities during the cold winter months.
Community members are encouraged to attend, share their feedback, and learn more about these changes.
RCT is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enriching lives and enhancing the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the communities we serve. Through innovative and accessible transportation solutions across Caledonia, Essex, Orleans, and Lamoille Counties, we strive to eliminate barriers to essential services, amenities, and opportunities—key elements that foster health, connection, and vitality within our region
