Hello,

Please come to the new market in Moretown on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Moretown School from 4:30 to about 6:30 or 7pm.

This week, Colleen will be making local beef hamburgers and homemade veggie burgers, hand cut french fries and fresh fixings from the garden. Duane is going to make his homemade rolls for the burger of your choice. Sofya will be there with her decadent, from scratch, coconut topped deep chocolate brownies, and Peter will have his delicious, also from scratch, buttery chocolate chip cookies. I know we can count on Sarah N to bake something great for us to enjoy too. I'll have lacto-fermented strawberry lemonade and lacto-fermented blueberry-ginger sodas, a little kombucha, some homemade maple-vanilla bean yogurt, plain yogurt, and kimchi. I'm hoping that my latest batch of Celtic Kraut will be ready to sell and enjoy too. I hope Karen C will join us with her scrumptious and nutritious Mountain Woman and Mountain Man bars, eggs and maple syrup. Maybe Jenna will join us too with growing and harvested beauties from her veggie and flower gardens as well.

Last week, our neighbors Charlie and Tom came and played their guitars and sang on the school steps while we worked, visited and enjoyed each others' creations.

As a vendor, the market has been a great opportunity for me to get to know my neighbors better and to share in their amazing talents. I've also felt lucky to have a chance to talk with folks about the power and the importance of fermented foods and drinks in our diets.

So, come on by, and see and taste the goodies that your neighbors have made. We'll be glad to see you there.
