The South Hero Historical Society will be hosting a program on the town’s Bean Co. and Canning Factory. In the early 1900s of South Hero history, the town boasted both a Bean Company and a Canning Factory which canned local corn. Come hear more about them! You’ll learn where they were located and why, how many years they existed for, and what effect they had on the community at that time.
Come hear David Fifield, whose father and grandfather owned the Bean Co. speak. We hope some of you will also have memories to share. We have pictures from the VT Historical Society but hope you may have some to share too.
Our programs are held in the upstairs classroom at Folsom Education and Community Center on the first Friday of most months. All ages are welcome!
