Spend a winter evening at The Pitcher Inn as it presents a series of three events that will feature an artist talk given by an Edgewater artist followed by a fine dining experience at the inn's acclaimed restaurant.
Guests are asked to arrive between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. Drink and dinner orders are taken before the talk begins. At 5:45 our artist will give a presentation that will give insight into their path to becoming an artist, their process and their inspirations. Guests are encouraged to ask questions! The discussion is followed by dinner. The artists will join us as we savor a meal especially prepared by the Pitcher Inn's chef .

This Thursday January 30th - KIMBERLEE ALEMIAN
Kim Alemian describes her time in the studio as a "time of alchemy". Alemian is a still life painter and so it is in the studio that she arranges groupings of objects, directs a light source, and manipulates a composition to create patterning. The elements shift until she finds a combination of objects, color, light, shadow and pattern that excites her and invites her to paint it. Her oil paintings on canvas are richly colored and her brush work is gestural and textural. Her artist talk will give us further insight into her approach to still life painting.
