The Vermont State Curator's Office presents Carrie Caouette-De Lallo's THRESHOLDS: Bearing Witness to Chelsea, Vermont's Past on exhibit at the Vermont State House Cafeteria Gallery from Now – January 31 with an Artist Reception: January 16, from 3:00 – 5:00pm. During the Covid 19 pandemic, the artist began taking late afternoon walks in her Chelsea Vermont community to stay active. She started closely observing the buildings, structures, and noticed the extraordinary craftsmanship and architectural details of the various doorways. This experience inspired her visual composition. From photographs she began to create pencil drawings on paper. Caouette-De Lallo's exhibition of 20 selected drawings is a visual love letter to Chelsea from the artist, a place she has called home for nearly 25 years. It is her way to pass along gratitude to her neighbors who took the time to share their memories of these special places. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
