The Unitarian Church of Montpelier will hold the first of 3 environmental lectures (others in March and April) on Saturday, January 18 at 6:00 p.m. with a dessert/beverage gathering followed by a talk at 6:45 p.m. The speaker will be Samantha Ford of Turn Stone Research talking about "History on the Land: Old Forested Farmscapes." She will show how to explore currently forested areas for evidence of prior habitation and how that may have affected what we see today.
Tickets must be reserved in advance for the dessert session and lecture by going to https://ucmvt.breezechms.com/form/clarke2025 by Friday, January 17. Cost is $12/adult, $5 per person under 18 with $1 processing fee for adult tickets only.
