The Essex Community Justice Center is serving as a neutral facilitator in convening this virtual community forum about the proposed new women's correctional facility in the Town of Essex. This forum is an opportunity to hear from state officials about their plans for a new women's prison and reentry center proposed to be located in Essex and representatives from the City of South Burlington, where the current women's facility has been located for the last 12 years.

This forum is separate from the Town of Essex Planning Commission where zoning and siting decisions are being considered. This forum is intended for informational purposes only.
