Dear Friends, Neighbors and Constituents,
The Senate is now four weeks into the legislative session and we are busy taking testimony in both the Health + Welfare and Education Committees, the two committees on which I serve. At this time we have not voted on or moved any bills out of committee, but here is an update of some of our work:
Health and Welfare:
• S.109 - relates to Medicaid coverage for doula services
• S.197 - relates to the procurement and distribution of products containing PFAs
• S.215 - proposes to implement the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program's Restaurant Meals Program
• S.211 - relates to health care reform and to the regulatory duties of the Green Mountain Care Board
Education:
• S.204 - relates to reading assessment and intervention
• S.220 - seeks to enact the recommendations in the Vermont Libraries report
• S.87 - relates to Holocaust education in public schools
• S.304 - relates to Vermont's career and technical education programs
