At this in-person event at the Vermont Ski & Snowboard Museum, join ski historian Brian Lindner and "Searching for Vermont's Lost Ski Areas" exhibit curator Poppy Gall as they share the history of 15 lost ski areas: Waterbury (5), Stowe (4), Morrisville (2), Hyde Park (1), Johnson (1), Jeffersonville (1) and Cambridge (1) at the Vermont Ski & Snowboard Museum.
Stories include the second rope tow in Vermont, an area demolished during the construction of Interstate 89 and another that trucked snow in from New York State during a snow drought. Audience members are encouraged to share their own stories of long-forgotten ski areas located between Waterbury, Morrisville, Cambridge and beyond.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, and guests are invited to explore the exhibits including the "Searching for Vermont's Lost Ski Areas" exhibit before the discussion begins at 6:30 PM.
Event admission is $10 and helps support the Museum's mission to "collect, preserve, and celebrate Vermont's rich skiing and snowboarding history."
