Food and Water Watch’s Montpelier Kick-Off Meeting to Save Antibiotics For Medicine

Right now, 80% of antibiotics in the US are used on factory farms mostly to boost profits and compensate for filthy living conditions for the animals. The American Medical Association and World Health Organization agree: these practices threaten everyone’s health and are contributing to a public health crisis where 2 million people contract antibiotic resistant infections a year.
We need to act now to make sure that the next time our friends, family members, or one of us gets sick the antibiotics they receive will work. The good news is that we can create a world where we can count on medicine working, and where our farms are safe and healthy.
Join us at our kick-off meeting on Wednesday, September 17 at 7pm to find out more about the campaign and what you can do to help! With your support, we can save antibiotics for medicine and make sure that they remain effective the next time one of our loved ones, friends, or us gets sick.
Contact me (info below) to let us know you can make it, and bring a friend!
