Yankee Wine & Spirits will repeat its "cash only" wine sale on Wednesday, August 23, 1:30 to 5 pm. We will also be selling wine this weekend, coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm. All proceeds will be used to help Yankee recover from the devastating flood of July 10.

The backstory: The July 10 flood destroyed the store and most of our inventory. But our best "top shelf" wines escaped the flood waters, and we quickly moved the bottles to a climate controlled storage facility in Shelburne.

We've cleaned and dried out the building, but it will take weeks if not months to rebuild floors, walls and systems and re-open our store. Restoring the store is an expensive proposition. We need to convert our wine inventory to cash! We selected a variety of wines for the sale this weekend: Reds (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Syrah, Blends, Pinot Noir, Cotes de Rhone and Bourdeaux); Whites (Chardonay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Moscato and Reislings); a limited but excellent selection of Champagnes and other sparkling wines! We're offering a $1 discount on evry bottle priced under $20 and $2 off each bottle prices $20 and higher, $3 off bottles prices $30 and higher, etc.

We're still unable to process credit cards so bring cash or local check. FYI, there's an ATM next door! Stop by Yankee Wine & Spirits this Wednesday 1:30 to 5 or on Saturday & Sunday, 11 am to 3 pm and help us recover from the flood!
