ELECTION DAY REMINDER
The upcoming general election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Calais voters may vote in person on election day 7:00am to 7:00pm at the Calais Town Hall, 1662 Kent Hill Road. PLEASE BRING YOUR BALLOT WITH YOU if you vote in person. We were given a very limited supply of extra ballots.
VOTE EARLY - AND MAKE CERTAIN YOUR BALLOT COUNTS!
To vote early, be sure to drop off your completed ballot at the Calais Town Office before election day. Or mail your ballot no later than Tuesday, November 1 in order to ensure timely postal delivery.
After voting both sides of your ballot, insert it into the ballot envelope and seal the envelope. SIGN and COMPLETE the front of the ballot envelope. If your ballot envelope is not completed and signed, it is considered defective and cannot be counted until that defect is "cured". If mailing your ballot, be sure to place postage on the outer envelope before it's mailed. You may also drop off your ballot at the Town Office anytime 24/7 into the secure drop box. Or you may vote at the Town Office during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. PLEASE BRING YOUR BALLOT WITH YOU.
REGISTER TO VOTE
If you need to register to vote, you may do so in any of the following ways:
- Go online to https://mvp.vermont.gov/. Click on the green "Register Online" button.
- Register at the DMV.
- Come to the Town Office anytime during regular office hours (Mondays-Thursdays, 8:00am-4:00pm) to fill out a paper registration form and register onsite. Bring 1) photo ID to show proof of age and 2) Calais residency.
- Come to the Town Hall on election day, Tuesday, November 8, 7:00am-7:00pm and register onsite there. Bring 1) photo ID to show proof of age and 2) Calais residency..
