Hannah's House sponsors and cocreates Free Wellness Series at Harwood Union High School each Wednesday, April 1 through June 8. Local professionals share their specialty as it relates to overall wellness and stress reduction. Students sign up at school on Tuesday mornings for Wednesday ELO blocks; look out for the various workshops each week. Presenters include: youth-centered yoga, aromatherapy, mindfulness/meditation, therapy puppies, Lou Bevaqui (emotional resilience coach), Carl Yalicki (drug and alcohol counselor), one of our licensed therapist and more. Take advantage of this program and give these special offerings a try before school ends!
Introducing students to a variety of healthy coping mechanisms and self-care practices is one way we can support the mental health of our children. Education and prevention is even more crucial now with such a high demand for individual talk therapy and a shortage of licensed therapists.
Our generous donors make free community programs like this possible along with the help of Jen Driemiller and Hannah's House Intern Sophia Henzel. Donations are always appreciated: https://www.hannahshousevt.org/
