The meeting will begin with a work session at 6:30 pm. to discuss transitioning back to in-person Council meetings. Following any climate emergency reports and indoor and outdoor entertainment permits for Zero Gravity and Burlington Beer Company, our deliberative agenda includes a number of annual items including the following: (1) annual appointments to the City's Commissions and Boards; (2) the common area fee formula for the Church Street Marketplace; (3) the Mayor's proposed budget and accompanying tax rate for the coming fiscal year (although as of the time of this post, the resolutions for the budget votes have not been posted yet and it appears the budget will not be voted on until our June 28 meeting).
In addition to these annual items, our deliberative agenda includes the following: (a) a resolution to create an AdHoc committee to assist with redistricting following the release of the 2020 Census figures; and (b) a presentation from Eileen Blackwood on an extensive report she wrote on Airport Regionalization. This will be followed by an Executive Session on this report.
