Prior to our Council meeting, we will hold a work session at 6:30 what has been a long-awaited discussion: our transition back to in-person Council meetings. We need to address a hybrid model regarding participation virtually and in person and how this would work for public forum, and other virtual participation.

Following any climate emergency reports and indoor and outdoor entertainment permits for Zero Gravity and Burlington Beer Company, our deliberative agenda includes a number of annual items.

• Every year in June, the Council votes, and in some cases the Mayor has a vote, on annual appointments to the City's Commissions and Boards.

• As well, each year in June, the Council votes on the common area fee formula for the Church Street Marketplace. Additionally, this year, BTC Mall Associates is appealing their Marketplace fee given their projected losses and that, according to their communications, the building is 95% vacant and will have no rental income beginning in November 2021.

• By City Charter, the Mayor must deliver their proposed budget and accompanying tax rate for the coming fiscal year in June. By the end of June, the Council must vote and approve a budget and a tax rate for the coming year. The resolutions for these important votes have not been posted yet for the June 14 meeting; it appears likely we will vote on these items at our June 28 meeting.

• Departing from the annual agenda items, our next agenda item is a resolution to create an AdHoc committee on redistricting as we move closer to the 2020 Census figures and the possibility of redrawing the lines for municipal elective offices.

• Our last item will be a presentation from Eileen Blackwood on an extensive report she wrote on Airport Regionalization. This will be followed by an Executive Session on this report.
