Hi Friends and Neighbors,

With the passing of Town Meeting Day, our little world can return to a semblance of normalcy. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all who ran for office this season, and congratulations to Allie, Gary and Matt on their election.

Our next Ward 1 NPA meeting is on 3/12 at 6:30PM, in the Friends Meeting House, 173 North Prospect St (and on Zoom – the Zoom coordinates are the same as always, and will be on our reminder note next week , as well as posted on Civic Clerk.)

We hope to have a small but satisfying smorgasbord on our March agenda. We will have a conversation with Ric Cengeri of Homeshare VT, and then one with a team of drug policy experts, who will discuss overdose prevention centers. We'll welcome our newly elected officials and get updates from our ''old' ones!

And while elections are still in the air, it is time to elect the NPA Steering Committee. All 5 current members (Carol, Selene, Tom, Sam and I) are interested in continuing, and we will 'run' as a slate. But our bylaws allow for up to seven folks on the steering committee, and we definitely like to share the fun as much as possible! So there's room for more. If you are interested in being on the steering committee, let any of us know and we can add your name to the slate, or alternatively, you can be nominated (or self-nominate) at the meeting.
