Northern Harmony, 13 brilliant singers led by Larry Gordon, present two outdoor concerts this weekend:

Saturday, May 29 at 4pm in Craftsbury Common on the Common; and Sunday, May 30, 4pm at 1973 Max Gray Road in East Calais (GPS regards this as Plainfield. This concert will be on the spectacular grounds behind Susan Sober's historic barn). The concert program features South African songs and dances, renaissance Italian devotional songs, traditional songs from Bulgaria, Macedonia and Georgia, contemporary American shape-note songs, and the French baroque Nisi Dominus by Charpentier (1643-1704). The Italian and Balkan songs will feature a hot band of fiddles, pennywhistle, accordion, keyboard and percussion.
