In partnership with the Westford Public Library and Carpenter-Carse Library, SURJ-BTV — the Burlington chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice — is offering a four-part series of online workshops based on Dr. David Campt's White Ally Toolkit Workbook about having effective conversations about race.
Each session will focus on one part of Campt's RACE method for these conversations and will last two hours (6 PM to 8 PM). Sessions will include reflection, role play, and resources. You do not have to attend all sessions; you can attend one or more than one as you are able.
Sessions will take place via Zoom from 6-8pm on the following dates: March 7 (Reflect); March 21 (Ask); April 11 (Connect); and April 25 (Expand).
Participants are encouraged to obtain a copy of the White Ally Toolkit Workbook; these can be purchased or there will be a limited number of copies available for borrowing at the Westford Public Library. If you'd like to request a library copy, please reach out to the library directly.
You do not need to be a resident of Westford or Hinesburg to participate. All are welcome.
All other questions about the workshops, including to sign up for specific sessions, should be emailed to SURJ-BTV: surj.burlington.vt@gmail.com
