The "International Ride of Silence", for bicyclists to remember those who have been hurt or killed riding, happens every year on the 3rd Wednesday in May. Since 2013, we've had a Ride of Silence in Northfield, and the next one will take place on Wednesday, May 15th.
We'll meet at 5:30 PM, in front of the American Legion building on Depot Sq. We'll ride south on Central St., Main St. and Rt. 12A, a total of about 6 miles to the Roxbury Cemetery. There, we'll have some quiet moments to remember, together, people we know, and others we don't know who lost their lives while bike riding. Then we'll ride back, staying together both ways, and riding at a moderate pace--this is not a race!
Please join us in this ride--the only requirement is to wear a helmet and join in the ride.
In case of rain, we'll aim to try again on Friday, May 17th at the same time.
