Folsom School students will perform "The Lion King Jr." this Friday, May 11, and Saturday, May 12 at the South Hero school. Students and their families are creating a savanna in South Hero to bring the Broadway musical to life on stage. You will see a large-as-life elephant, wildebeests, hyenas, zebras and more tell the story of Simba, the young lion cub who learns about the Circle of Life before he can become king. Gina Fearn and Justin Gardner direct the musical with choreography by Kari Banas and Justin Gardner. Folsom Drama has been fortunate to receive the financial support of several community sponsors, including: Community Bank, Ben & Jerry's Foundation, Folsom PTO, The Champlain Islands Health Center, Old Town Landscapes and Cozy Cottages.

The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and are available at the door. We hope to see you there!
