Capturing Wildlife on Trail Cameras!

Mar 1, 2025, 11 AM

What kind of wildlife do you have right in your backyard? Whether you live in rural Northeast Kingdom or South Burlington, wildlife is all around us!

Learn about the basics of camera trapping on March 1st at 11am at the Dion Family Center in the Roy Room at St. Michael's College, 94 Place Saint Michel, Colchester, VT 05439. The event is free and is appropriate for all ages!

Our presenter is a Professor and an ecologist and field biologist who uses trail cameras to study the 17 (and counting) mammal species found on his campus and at Chittenden county sites. Expect to learn how, where, and when to set trail cameras for maximum success. The presenter will also share the very best wildlife images that he and his students have captured and the ecosystem benefits of a diverse mammalian community, including a healthy predator population.
