Mill River Brewing BBQ and Smokehouse will be hosting its annual Clean Water Ice Fishing Derby on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Shipyard Road Fishing Access in Highgate. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Northern Lake Champlain (FNLC).
The derby begins at 8 a.m. and lasts until 3 p.m. A catch and release tournament for yellow perch, the derby will have hourly winners, two each in the child and adult categories. The top three catches of the day in each category will also receive prizes. A free boxed lunch from Mill River Brewing.
Tickets are $30 for adults, with children 10 and under participating for free. Tickets are available day of or in advance at:
