Please join the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival for a Unity Press Conference on Monday, February 5th, at 12pm, at the State House in Montpelier. [Meeting room to be announced.] We will be sending a message to the legislature that we are here and that we demand that they join with us in confronting the evils of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, ecological devastation, and the nation’s distorted morality. The Press Conference will feature powerful speakers - citizens directly impacted by these issues - and then, together, we will walk to deliver our message in a letter to Speaker of the House, Mitzi Johnson, and to Senate Pro-Tem, Tim Ashe. Similar Press Conferences will be held simultaneously in 34 other states across the country - so that this is a message of unity and power.
