Lower Otter WMA, Sand Road, Ferrisburg, VT
Come and learn about the wildlife management techniques utilized by the VT Fish and Wildlife Department in cooperation with the VT Department of Forest Parks and Recreation that can also be used on your property. This workshop will showcase a number of different forest and habitat management techniques used to manage a forest property for wildlife. One area has been treated for invasives and has been set back successionally by the use of a brontosaurus (if you don’t know what this is, you should come). Other areas will be harvested using various strategies to achieve specific objectives and goals on the parcel. We will walk the area to discuss the strategies, observe what has already been done, and return again at a later date to witness the management in action. Join us as we kick-off this series From the Tailgate. For more information please contact Lisa Sausville at 802-877-2777 or info@vtcoverts.org This workshop is free.
