All are welcome! Haven't read the book? No problem, join us to discover U.S. past and look in the future!

Discussion Series at Warren and Joslin Memorial Libraries, in collaboration with the Vermont Humanities Council, the Warren Public and Joslin Memorial Libraries present a book discussion series titled “20th Century U.S. Conflicts: The Rise of a Superpower.” Facilitated by historian Alan Berolzheimer, we will consider the wars that made the United States a world power - or called its power into question. We start on the verge of the 20th Century with a discussion of The Spanish War: An American Epic 1898 by G.J.A. O’Toole.

Alan Berolzheimer is the project historian and assistant director of The Flow of History, a Teaching American History program providing professional development activities to Vermont teachers. Alan received a Ph.D. in 20th-century U.S. History from the University of Virginia in 1996. He lives in Norwich, VT.
