The Growing Peace Project

TGPP is a peacemaking, social justice, and youth activism 501c3 educational nonprofit. We have two broad programs. Nationally, we partner schools for a year-long collaboration where students develop and implement action plans that address community issues they care about. It culminates in a Vermont summer activism and leadership retreat. Locally, we focus on food insecurity. We grow a half acre garden and orchard in Topsham that serves our food insecure neighbors, along with cultivation workshops, family cooking classes, a children's nature and earth stewardship program, and more. All of our programs are entirely free.
