Acorn Youth Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in East Corinth VT dedicated to bringing high quality arts opportunities to rural VT youth who otherwise would not have access to them. We work with youth to run summer camps and year-round programming in a diverse range of artistic modalities and partner with The Barra School to provide a comprehensive outdoor nature-based camp program.

The Barra School and Acorn Youth Arts has worked to secure funding for FREE summer camp programming this summer.

Daycamp for youth ages 4+ will run July 29-August 9th, be based out of the Waits River Valley School, and take place there and at The Barra School's riverside campsite. This program involves nature arts, crafts, hiking, fishing, swimming, literacy and interpersonal skills, outdoor games, activities, and more. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided at no cost.

The Barra School and Acorn Youth Arts has worked to secure funding for FREE summer camp programming this summer.

Daycamp for youth ages 4+ will run July 29-August 9th, be based out of the Waits River Valley School, and take place there and at The Barra School's riverside campsite. This program involves nature arts, crafts, hiking, fishing, swimming, literacy and interpersonal skills, outdoor games, activities, and more. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided at no cost.

FREE day camp programming for older youth ages 9+ will be held in conjunction with South Road Pottery Studio in Bradford, VT August 12-16th. This program (held at the Pottery Studio) will focus on nature arts, crafts, kick wheel and hand-building pottery skills, and more.

FREE overnight camp programming for youth ages 9+ will be offered August 19-23rd. Youth registering for overnight programming will have the unique opportunity to plan their dream program. In years past this program has included a canoe trip in the Saranac Lakes and a backpacking expedition in the Pemigewasset Wilderness led by The Barra School's Forest and Wilderness Program team.

All meals and snacks will be provided for ages 9+ programming, including all supplies/materials/required or necessary gear at no cost.

This program is run by highly qualified staff which include licensed teachers and special educators, certified forest therapy guides, and local artists, artisans, and crafters. This program is fully insured and meets all State requirements.

There is a $25 registration fee per youth per week to support matching grant requirements and assure programming can continue in future years. Any family in need of a registration waiver will be granted one, no questions asked.
