"Life At Camp: Combating the Sexism We Tolerate and why the military should take the lead.'

The story recounts my journey as a young, suburban tomboy joining the Army as a truck driver and becoming an activist for gender equality. I am a 36-year Veteran who retired in 2019 from the Vermont National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer 4.

My book designer, Carrie Cook from Hyde Park will join me. Carrie talks about her inspiration to create the cover design and how important book design is to a story you will hold in your hearts.

The story is about finding and living your purpose filled life, when you cannot deny the drive you have to make a difference. What would you do to shatter the barriers? Check out www.itsallaboutego.com for more information about the book, reviews and events.

Greetings. I am new to FPF. My husband Phil and I have lived in Milton for 21 years. We live near Cobble Hill and love the location. We raised our children here and were engaged parents with the MTSD. We are Veterans who retired in 2019 after 36/38 years in the Army and Vermont Army National Guard. We worked full-time as federal technicians out of Camp Johnson in Colchester. My husband now works as a contractor, and I work part time at Hannaford's in town when I am not busy with my business and... read more ▼

My husband now works as a contractor, and I work part time at Hannaford's in town when I am not busy with my business and book. I launched my diversity consulting business Empowering Gender Opportunities, LLC to continue the work I did for the VTNG regarding equal opportunity and diversity. My business mission is to combat the sexism which precludes many sex-based offenses in our daily interactions. I wrote a book about the solution strategies I believe we can all take to crush the phenomenon of sexual assaults. I do private sales however my book is available at the Eloquent Page in St. Albans, Phoenix Book Stores, Barnes & Noble, Amazon etc. I hope you will check it out, 'Life At Camp: Combating the Sexism We Tolerate and why the military should take the lead.' It has been endorsed by Martha T. Rainville, Maj Gen, USAF (Ret) and other prominent leaders. The world is a big place, and we all don't choose to be world leaders, however, being involved in our community, doing what we can, is essential to building a better world. Peace Out.
