We have a few great events coming up in downtown Winooski this September:
Fiber Fair at the Farmers Market (Sunday, September 1st, 10am-2pm): Not only will there be a full farmers market with farm-fresh food, we're excited to welcome 14 additional vendors with handwoven, crocheted, knitted, felted, sewn, printed, and dyed pieces including home decor, garments, and accessories, and yarn! Bring the kids and learn about fiber history and production across the state, including the mills right here in Winooski, with hands-on educational activities. Watch loom and spinning wheel demonstrations and try your hand at fiber arts too with yarn, wool, and mixed media activities — including a community-woven mosaic!
Winooski Wednesdays: PRIDE Edition (Wednesday, September 11th, 5pm-8pm): We're finishing this summer's Winooski Wednesdays strong with our annual Pride celebration! An incredible lineup of performers will be joining us including a local drag showcase, Gaybar, Brass Balagan, Katie Lyon, and Seven Daysies Best Tribute Band winner Purple! Get your photo taken by professional celeb photographer Adam Bouska with the NOH8 campaign, get a free chair massage, dye your own colorful tote bag, and explore a park full of LGBTQIA+ vendors and local service agencies!
Best Pooch in the Noosk at the Farmers Market (Sunday, September 29th, 10am-2pm): It's BACK! We are beyond excited for the return of our favorite, goofy lil' dog show! Swing by the market in the morning to register your pup to walk the runway at noon for a chance to win in one of five categories ranging from Cutest to Worst Breath. Contest entries fee will support the market and local rescue For the Love of Dogs! Stick around to browse doggie-related guests and vendors, and make a dog tug toy for your furry friend or leave it for a rescue pup!
