Another Way is hiring! Another Way is a peer-run organization rooted in advocacy and support. We are a sanctuary for those with psychiatric disabilities and those at risk of psychiatric intervention. Our community center is open 365 days a year and is located at 125 Barre Street in Montpelier, Vermont.

We are hiring folks who are empathetic, open-minded and self-aware who want to help create a vibrant community center where mutual respect and emotional safety are paramount.

We are looking for a Cook and/or Kitchen Coordinator. Duties consist of planning weekly meals, prepping and cooking food in time to serve dinner to 30-40 community members on Fridays. Must have a positive attitude, be organized, reliable and team oriented. Ideal candidate would have food industry experience and a vehicle to purchase groceries but considering all applicants. Compensation : $20-25/hour, depending on experience, plus mileage reimbursement

The Shift Worker position offers a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. You are often the first person a member of the community encounters, and as such, you play a crucial role in helping them feel welcome. You make coffee, do laundry, maintain a neat and orderly house, but more importantly, you provide support to folks who may need encouragement, connection, and non-judgmental support. You may be meeting someone on one of the worst days of their life, and you may be helping them find the ground beneath their feet. We need folks who are reliable, empathetic, and have a good sense of boundaries. Pay starts at $16/hour.
