Alyssum is an alternative, holistic and peer-run mental health respite program. Any Vermonter, regardless of insurance, who is struggling with their mental health, or is experiencing big change, grief or loss can come for short term stays in a homelike environment for free. Alyssum's staff are peer support specialists, people who have their own lived experiences with mental health, healing and growth so they are empathetic and non-judgemental. In addition to respite stays, Alyssum also offers weekly zoom discussions on various mental health topics and a phone support warmline (we answer when available and return phonecalls).
