We Want to Hear from You! Bring us your ideas on how to improve travel for all users on North Avenue!

On Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00PM, join us at the Hunt Middle School (1364 North Avenue) to learn more about the North Avenue Corridor Study (http://bit.ly/north-ave). The goal of this study is to assess the North Avenue corridor (from North Street to Plattsburg Avenue) from a “Complete Streets” perspective and develop short, medium, and longer-term transportation strategies to accommodate the safe and efficient travel of all users in the corridor.

This is the first of three public meetings planned for the North Avenue Corridor Study. At this first meeting, participants will have the opportunity to provide their input on specific issues and challenges they face as they travel on North Avenue by car, bus, truck, bicycle, or on foot. The meeting will feature a brief overview of the project followed by a hands-on exercise to identify issues along the corridor.

This study is sponsored by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) and the City of Burlington’s Public Works Department (DPW). Refreshments will be served.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend. In accordance with provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the CCRPC and the City of Burlington will ensure that public meeting sites are accessible to people with disabilities. Requests for free interpretive or translation services, assistive devices, or other accommodations should be made to Emma Long, CCRPC Title VI Coordinator, at 802-846-4490 ext. 21 (711 for Telecommunications Relay Services), or elong@ccrpcvt.org, at least 72 hours in advance.
