Peter Gray will define play and explain how it promotes healthy physical, intellectual, social, moral, and emotional growth. Mr. Gray will describe the psychological detriments that have accompanied the decline of play in our culture.
Peter Gray, research professor of psychology at Boston College, conducts research in neuroendocrinology, developmental psychology, anthropology, and education. He authored "Free to Learn: Why Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life".
