We are happy to announce this year’s keynote speaker is Craig Della Penna. Craig, as an Inn owner, realtor and founder of the Northeast Greenway Solutions (NeGS) is a powerful advocate of Rail Trails. He has spoken far and wide to great acclaim about “…subjects of rail-to-trail conversions and their tie-in to the issues surrounding smart growth, land preservation, effects on nearby residential real estate values, and other similar subjects.” Of particular interest to the Friends’ members and guests will be Craig’s experience marketing rail trails as economic engines for surrounding communities.

In addition to Mr. Della Penna we will welcome VAST to present an update on construction and maintenance of the LVRT; Don Balcom, VAST capital campaign manager with fundraising news; and Hilary DelRoss of Vermont’s Department of Tourism and Marketing. Of course we’ll also enjoy Martell’s famous and bountiful hors d’oeuvres. (a cash bar is available)

This year we will also recognize our outgoing board members, welcome incoming board members and recognize a great number of volunteers’ efforts.
