Andrews Forestland Walk

We will be hosting another public walk on the Andrews forestland at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25th. If you weren’t able to make the first walk, or want to walk it again, hear more about an opportunity for the Richmond community, or give more ideas or input, please join us! The Andrews family is looking to sell their 428-acre property, and they have been talking with Vermont Land Trust about options to maintain it as forestland and available to the public. What do you want to see happen there?

The walk will be about two miles round trip with some up and down, and we’ll have a shorter option as well. We will be meeting across Route 2 from Maple Wind Farm’s barns (the barns are located at 1110 E Main Street). If you think you’ll be joining us, an email to Bob Heiser at bheiser@vlt.org will help us anticipate numbers and coordinate logistics, but you can also just show up. Hope to see you there!
