As Nick Allen strikes up the music from the Lamoille Marching Band, the Hyde Park Home Day Parade will begin at noon on Saturday. Families are encouraged to bring their bicycles, strollers, wagons, etc. Decorations and assistance are available at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Parish Hall. The Veterans of Foreign Wars will head up the parade, followed by our Grand Marshall, the Lanphear family, winners of Vermont Dairy of the Year Award. Then comes the band, followed by several antique cars, as well as some sharp new models, including vehicles from our new McMahons. Watch for our local hero, Paula Yankauskus and some of our political candidates. H P Elementary School will be distributing buttons, made by the students, during the parade. Be sure to get yours!!

Some of the floats you will see are: Lanpher Memorial Library 100 year, S'more Family Fun, Farm of Milk & Honey and Applecheek Farm, and Our Loving Family. Watch for our "Bug Lady". There will be a number of our local service vehicles. Casella Waste Management will enter with a decorated truck. The parade will proceed down Main Street to the Hyde Park Elementary School and return to St. Teresa's. Don't miss it! Please contact John Clark at 888-3908 for more information.
