Adventures with Monochromatic Mediums: The “Values” of Limited Color
Instructor: Jean Carlson Masseau
Jean Masseau is a local artist who has taught the joy of drawing to many people, from beginner to expert.
Join us for this joyful one day class, all levels welcome! Using easy-to-draw botanical subjects, discover the beauty that can be achieved through skillful use of a single color. Instruction will focus on value and composition as important concepts. Observation tips will facilitate drawing a simple botanical subject, and students will use Walnut Ink to create a unique value drawing. After a brown bag lunch we will create a limited-palette botanical drawing with colored pencil on toned paper. Emphasis will be on beginner-friendly subjects.
