On February 15th at 2:00 PM the Westford Historical Society is partnering with the Westford Town library for a talk by Vermont author and historian J. Kevin Graffagnino. His latest presentation (and book) explores the life of one of Vermont's most influential figures during the American Revolution and Vermont's Founding. Land speculator, revolutionary, pamphleteer, politician, and empire builder, Ira Allen was a key figure on the Green Mountain frontier. He was part of the remarkable Vermont pioneer generation that included such noteworthy leaders as his brother-Ethan Allen, as well as Thomas Chittenden, Moses Robinson, Isaac Tichenor, and Stephen Row Bradley. Allen stood out for his extraordinary energy, vision, and accomplishments. This promises to be a wonderful afternoon presentation as Kevin has so much knowledge of all things Vermont
