Foster Home Workshop for Long Trail Canine Rescue

Past event
Sep 4, 2016, 11 AM to 1 PM

Consider joining our foster family network and know the reward of changing a life! It is a wonderful experience for a family to take in a homeless shelter dog and provide a temporary loving home while we find wonderful adopters.

Have you ever thought about fostering a rescued shelter dog but not quite sure how it works? Do you know any friends or family that you can share this workshop with that might enjoy some extra four legged loving for a short time? Come join us and our supporting trainer (Emily Lewis from A Click Away) and learn the difference a foster home can make for the future of a shelter dog! Did you know most of our dogs are placed within 2-6 weeks? Consider fostering! Just once! (guaranteed you'll want to do it again! ) All your questions answered and any fear will be taken away! We will talk about...

Where our rescued dogs come from
What to expect from a rescued shelter dog
How to set up the home for transitioning/unwinding from shelter
Basic Training
Supplies provided
Expectations of the Foster Family
The ultimate reward of a lifelong family

Worries about falling in love with your foster pup? That's okay too, we'll answer your questions about that too!

A 2 hour session of information and question/answers on how you can make a difference for a shelter dog deserving of a nd chance! 11-1
