As we’re approaching Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, on Thursday, September 1st at 6:00pm Warren Public Library hosts unique event- screening Academy nominated documentary Murderball and video chat with former Team USA Paralympian medalists.

Murderball, a 2005 American documentary by Henry Alex Rubin and Dana Adam Shapiro, introduces the U.S. quad rugby team - a team composed entirely of young paraplegic men. Using special wheelchairs and very little protection, the players play full-contact competitive rugby, using rules only slightly altered to accommodate their limitations.

NOTE: The documentary is rated R for language Following the feature presentation, two former Team USA Paralympians, Scott Hogsett (’04 bronze, ’08 gold, ’12 bronze medal) and Bob Lujano (’04 bronze) will virtually join our audience to talk more about the sports, their experience and more.
