Introduction to Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at Yoga Mountain Center in Montpelier. Jon Kabat Zinn developed this program at the UMass Medical school in the late 70s. It has since been scientifically validated many times and is being taught all over the world. In this taster workshop we will look at some of the exciting findings from neuroscience that explain the effectiveness of this and other mindfulness approaches and explore the effects in ourselves. You can try all major exercises and share your experiences and questions. It will be an inspiring and relaxing Sunday morning. The workshop will be led by Antje Ricken who was trained at the Center for Mindfulness at the UMassMedical School and has been teaching MBSR in Europe since 2012.
