Do you ever come home from a vacation so exhausted from your travels that you feel you immediately need a staycation? Why not come by the Richmond Farmers market this Friday afternoon to take a break, relax and enjoy what the community has to offer!
If you’ve been wondering what to get for a friend’s birthday or even for a new member of the family, our Featured Vendor of the Week, Rough Cut Glades, will be bringing their hand-turned wooden baby rattles, bottle openers and wine stoppers. They’ll also have a brand new selection of natural-edged wooden decorative door frame toppers and wall hangings featuring designs to fit any hobby! Or, if you have your own idea for a wooden sign or decoration, come talk to them about custom orders! Other crafters will be bringing fun and clever Vermont clothing, beeswax candles, hula hoops, chair massages and natural essential oil pain relievers.
If you were away and are missing the taste of home, our farmers will be bringing a great selection of veggies and meats this week to remind you why you live in VT! Blueberries have finally arrived, along with currants, mulberries, fresh garlic, heirloom tomatoes, spinach, carrots, beets, dill, basil, potatoes, garlic scapes, salad mix, kale, chard, salad turnip, cucumbers, fresh herb starts and live microgreens. For your protein source, you’ll find eggs, pork, chicken and lamb sausage. Don’t forget about sides and desserts! As always, we’ll have maple syrup and candies, honey cream, ciabatta and baguettes, croissants, mustards, ketchup, cookies, fresh cherry crisp, pickles, kimchi, cut flowers, baklava and pistoli.
Or if you went camping for your vacation and are fed up with freeze dried meals and trail mix, you can plan to have dinner at the market! This week will feature artisan popcorn, soft pretzels with spicy mustard, butternut squash, apple and caramelized onion wood fire pizza, mac & cheese, sweet hand pies, bureks, tacos and tamales, lemonade, maple soda and Bourbon maple syrup infused nitro cold-brew coffee.
On the stage at 5:00 this week will be Linda Cullum. Greatly influenced by Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder, you catch a blend of these fine musicians in Linda’s music here and then. From simple acoustic to digital tracks, her music is an eclectic variety of styles, featuring guitar, vocals, piano and harmonica. This weeks music is sponsored by Sweet Simone's bakery in Richmond.
We'll see you there!
