Franklin Watershed Committee, inc. is hosting a Water Festival in Franklin on June 18th. It is open to all.
We are inviting other community members and non-profits like ourselves to sponsor and participate in our events. Franklin County NRCD, Cabot Creamery, Gary Draper & Son's Excavation are our current sponsors, but we are looking for more! (FWC is a 501c3 non profit, and contributions to our cause are tax deductible)
o Spruce Tree Giveaway: Noon-2pm (Franklin Town Hall)-Free trees to anyone who comes! (we have 600 to give!)
o Environmental Non-Profits Fair: 2-4pm (Franklin Town Hall)-Locally made refreshments available
o Posters, Maps, Research Projects Display: Noon-3pm (FELCO Community Room at Franklin Homestead)
o 5k for Carmi: Registration (2pm) Race Starts (3pm) until finished (Lake Carmi State Park Day Area Beach)
($5 entry fee, prizes for first 5 to finish)
o State Park Social: 5:30pm-Sunset (Lake Carmi State Park Beach) C&M Concessions Food, and acoustic music
($5 entry fee for adults, $3 for kids under 15, free for 5k winners), Sunset Sit-watch the sunset over the beautiful
Lake Carmi, Children's Scavenger Hunt
