Thu., June 9, 6:30-8:00pm, South Hero Community Library
Kitchen food scrap containers ($5) and compost bins ($45) will be available for purchase (cash or check only). Free class. Open to the public.
NORTHWEST VERMONT FARMERS' MARKET: NWSWD will be at the Farmers’ Market in downtown St. Albans from 9am-2pm Saturday, June 4. We will have compost bins ($45), kitchen food scrap containers ($5), and recycling bins ($2) for sale.
We'll also be selling Food Scrap Drop-Off Kits (a 5 gallon bucket with a screw-top lid and kitchen food scrap container for only $10). It’s a great deal and includes a guide to getting started on food scrap separation (4 free drop-off locations are currently available in Franklin County)! Reduce what you send to the landfill, save some $$ on trash costs, and help Vermont!
Also, we will be accepting small quantities of household batteries for proper disposal (no more than a few pounds per person) at no charge. See you at the Farmers’ Market!
We recycle sap line! Call us for details!
