I recently had the opportunity to view True Son, the documentary about a young man named Michael Tubbs who returned to his hometown of Stockton after graduating from Stanford University to challenge the establishment and run for public office in order to revitalize his city. Sounds like a certain presidential candidate we know!

In fact, Michael Tubbs introduced Bernie at a rally in Stockton last week with these powerful words: "Too often, communities like Stockton are forgotten in the national discussion. But today is different. For us, economic inequality is not just a buzzword. Poverty is more than just a government classification. We can't always pull ourselves up by our bootstraps if we don't have boots."
