One important task where help would be appreciated: someone to pick up the redeemable bottles and cans that are collected Saturday to rinse and then take to be redeemed. Green Up volunteers routinely collect the cans and bottles separately but redemption places cannot accept dirty containers. We toss the really nasty ones and the rest just need a shot with a hose and they're ready to go. This helps make sure as many of these containers get recycled as possible and you keep the change for your group, your favorite charity or just some spending money. This is perfect for a school or youth group or some industrious CBMS 7th and 8th graders who need a Change the World project this month. A parent with a pickup would be helpful.
