It's that time of year when nonprofits make their appeals to members, supporters, friends for financial support to start off the next year strong. Many organizations owe their continuing operations to this generosity.

It's that time of year when nonprofits make their appeals to members, supporters, friends for financial support to start off the next year strong. Many organizations owe their continuing operations to this generosity.
Such is the case for the Waterbury Roundabout, our community's online news outlet since May 2020.
As you sort through all of the messages clamoring for your attention ahead of Giving Tuesday and by year's end, we hope community members will support local groups and organizations that do good works from feeding the hungry to nurturing our children, adding art to our world and providing opportunities for us to enjoy the outdoors... there are many deserving of our support..
We ask that you include the Roundabout in your year-end giving if you've come to rely on it for news, information, and connection. We are working hard to report on news in our community that no one else is covering. Our readership has grown each year since we launched four years ago. We would love to continue and to grow in 2025 but that will depend on support from readers and businesses.
Right now, through a the national NewsMatch campaign to support nonprofit news outlets, all donations to the Roundabout up to $1000 from individuals will be matched dollar-for-dollar through Dec. 31. NewsMatch will match up to $15k, so we have an opportunity to raise $30k by the end of 2024.
One cool feature: NewsMatch will match new monthly contributions with a year's-worth donation (So signing up to give $10/mo. will receive a $120 match)
Contributions are tax-deductible too, as they go through our 501c3 fiscal sponsor, Vermont Journalism Trust (parent to VTDigger)
