Earth Day Tree Planting at North Branch Park!

Past event
Apr 22, 2016, 9 AM to 3:30 PM

The Montpelier Parks Department would like to invite you and your friends and family to come out and help us celebrate EARTH DAY here at Montpelier’s North Branch Park! On this day, we will be removing non-native and invasive honeysuckle shrubs in order to clear the way for the planting of beautiful native hardwood trees! These trees will create a more enjoyable park going experience for all as well as providing birds and animals with habitation and food supply!

When: Friday, April 22nd, 2016
- Morning Shift: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Afternoon Shift: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
- (Although coming between 10 to 15 minutes early to help with set up would be greatly appreciated!)

Where: The City of Montpelier’s Rec Field on Elm St. in the parking lot between the tennis courts and pool (we will be hiking into one of two locations within North Branch Park depending on weather conditions).
What to bring: Work boots (or some kind boot you are comfortable getting muddy), work clothes, rain jackets (depending on the weather), water and a snack, work gloves (we will have a limited quantity for those who don’t have any!) and a can-do attitude!
