Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Carpenter-Carse Library!
We’ll start our evening with readings by local poets Marian Willmot, Bonnie Morrissey, Laura Wisniewski, and Jessica LaBrie, then open the stage for a community poetry reading! We encourage everyone to bring a poem or two to share, or just come and listen!
To share your work, sign up at the event or email Marian at marianw@gmavt.net to reserve your spot.
The Carpenter-Carse Library is also starting a Community Writers Group, and local writers of all genres are welcome to attend. The first meeting will be on May 3 from 7-8:30 in the community room. Get your literary juices flowing with creative writing prompts, network with other local wordsmiths, and help us establish a fun, stimulating monthly workshop.
